The term “Advisory Services” makes me laugh. It’s too broad. It sounds like our entrepreneur (Gidget) is going to pay a ton of money for something she doesn’t need. The term also makes accountants feel unreachable.
We’re not unreachable.
If you want advice from your accountant, start with a specific question — not a general need.
Turn “We need better reports” into “I want to know how profitable I am by client.”
Turn “We need to spend less on payroll” to “What is our utilization rate?”
You get the idea. The more specific the question, the faster and more accurately your accountant can get you what you need.
But you’ve got to know what you’re looking for.
Until next week, grow boldly… within your budget.
